29 - The Price She Paid

Stephanie and Rachel Season 1 Episode 29

Happy 75th birthday, Loni Anderson! To celebrate, we’ve reviewed THE PRICE SHE PAID (1992), starring the lovely and unparalleled Loni along with Candy Clark and Tony Denison. Lacey (Anderson) is a woman who became pregnant as a result of aggravated rape and kept the child. Twelve years later, the allegedly rehabilitated felon, Keith (Denison), is out on parole. Not only does he attempt to reconnect with Lacey and befriend those closest to her, he also has been granted legal visitation rights with their son. Has Keith truly reformed? Or is this just a meticulous plot to exact revenge, cold dish style?
We also discuss the concept of rehabilitation; can it be achieved with incarceration or is that merely punishment? Additionally, we dispel the “Greeks love Windex” myth and learn why David Cross HATES Rachel (or do we?) Also, this particular episode is why Stephanie is no longer allowed to drink White Russians while recording (drink anytime she bungles a word and soon you won’t be able to speak coherently either!) The podcast may be free of charge, but don’t pay the price of missing this one!
This movie can be viewed on YouTube.
Trigger alert: This episode discusses sexual assault.
